Founded by Shekira C. Dennis, a renowned political strategist and public engagement expert, our firm has carved a niche in balancing the intricate worlds of community, politics, and business. Shekira’s vision, backed by her extensive experience spanning over a decade, is the driving force behind our success. But it’s not just her vision that sets us apart. Shekira C. Dennis is a passionate senior political strategist and public engagement professional with extensive experience shaping successful political strategies and advocacy campaigns from idea to implementation to impact. She is a trusted advisor devoted to the design, development and delivery of strategic policies grounded in a deep commitment to social justice.
In 2019, Dennis founded Next Wave Strategic Consulting Group where she provides direction and insight to national, statewide, and local political and issue campaigns, corporate social responsibility initiatives and government agencies.
For the historic 2020 presidential election she served as the Texas Coalitions Director for the Biden-Harris Presidential Campaign.
She began her career in public service as an organizing fellow on the Obama for President campaign and she is a proud alumna of the White House Internship Program under the Obama Administration.
She has been named one of the Texas Coalition of Black Democrats 40 Under 40, one of the Top 50 Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs of Texas; a Houston Black Leadership Institute Community Champion; and named 2020 Game Changer of the Year by the She Said, She Led Foundation.
Dennis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Journalism from Texas Southern University and is an alum of the Women’s Campaign School at Yale.
